Tile Cleaning

Pool tile cleaning can become necessary when calcium deposits, mineral deposits, algae, and other chemical deposits cause your pool tile to become so dingy that they are discolored. This can also cause your pool water to need cleaning more often due to the build up of these deposits, which then costs you more money. It can also lead to having to replace your pool tiles. Over time, they will weaken and become cracked or loosened due to the build up of these deposits and chemicals.

  • Lower water level
  • Glass bead blasting
  • Vacuum all deposits
  • Hand wipe tile
  • Remove glass beads

In order to clean your pool tile properly, your pools water level is decreased by about six to eight inches below the tile itself. The pool tile cleaning is done by both machine and hand. All residue and chemicals are sucked into the vacuum so as not to leave any mess behind in your pool.

Like everything other aspect of your pool, pool tile cleaning should be done on a regular basis. This will save you costs as it increases the longevity of your pool tile. Regular maintenance can go a long way with your pool and it’s ability to work effectively. We encourage you to contact us with any pool tile cleaning questions that you may have. We will be able to provide you with an estimate whether it’s just pool tile cleaning that you want, or all around regular pool service. We look forward to providing you with excellent service regarding all of your pool needs.

Acid Washing

If you cannot see the bottom of your pool, or if your pool has been stagnant for any period of time, then it is probably a good idea for an acid washing. If your pool has had years of algae blooms or the algae blooms easily then changing the water and acid washing is also a good idea. If you aren’t sure if acid washing is the answer, then please give us a call and we will send one of our technicians out to assess your pool and answer your questions as to the best action needed.

  • Drain swimming pool
  • Remove all algae and debris
  • Mix chemical
  • Acid wash interior
  • Rinse and refill

Acid washing is a procedure that should only be done a few times throughout the lifetime of your pool. If done too many times, it can lead to having to add a coat of plaster to your pool. Acid washing is intended to maintain the beauty, as well as, the cleanliness of your pool.

If your pool has a vinyl lining, detergents, instead of acid, are used. Once thoroughly cleaned, the liner is then reset with a vacuum to ensure proper fit during filling. Liner pools are not to be completely drained unless absolutely necessary. This can lead to problems in resetting the liner. In extremely rare cases, it can cause the walls to collapse.

As acid is a very dangerous chemical, acid washing should be left to the professionals. The acid is mixed proportionately with other chemicals in order to get the ultimate use out of the procedure. Our technicians are specially trained and are equipped with the proper tools to get the job completed effectively and safely.

Pool & Spa Pump Repair

Your pool pump is comprised of many smaller parts. Like any other part of your pool, it is important to perform regular general maintenance on your pool pump to avoid an untimely and costly repair. Prior to any general maintenance being done on your pool pump or any other part we will discuss it with you for your approval.

Pool pump repair does not have to be a long drawn out process. Smaller parts within the actual pump are lubricated and maintained during regular service visits. A few of the obvious signs that your pool pump needs repair is a leaking pump, air in the pump basket, not pumping water like usual, pump motor is making a lot of noise, etc.

  • Helps keep water circulating
  • A working pump helps prevent algae
  • Pump should work quietly
  • No air bubbles should come through return fittings

One of the main parts, the motor, will usually last about eight years. Pool pump repair can be done in as little as an hour, depending on the part needing the repair. It is important to keep the valves open in order to ensure proper water flow into your pump. You will also want to keep the pump basket clear of any debris as well. The last thing you want is for your pool pump to go out completely. As there are usually signs long before this happens, if it does come to the pump completely shutting down, then you have more than likely waited too long for just general maintenance. This can be a sign that you are in need of a total pool pump repair.

Pool & Spa Heater Repair

Pool heaters are the most complicated piece of equipment on your pool. Pool heater repair should be done by a professional due to it’s complicated set up. The professionals are trained to ensure that the gas pressure is correct and that all valves are functioning at full capacity. Signs that your pool heater may need to be serviced or repaired are if your heater will not ignite, the pilot won’t light, the heater cycles on and off before it reaches desired temperature, the heater is leaking water, etc.

  • Why won’t my heater ignite?
  • Why doesn’t my pool reach a warmer temperature?
  • Why is my heater leaking water?
  • How much fuel does a heater require?
  • How can I save on my heating cost?

Your pool heater has many parts that make up the actual heater itself. Pool heater repair can include parts such as the thermostat, gas valve, the pilot, etc. Pool heater repair is to be taken seriously as it can cause serious damage to your home and property if not installed or repaired correctly. Ensuring that you have the proper size heater will save you problems later down the road. You always want to make sure that all pool parts are the correct size and volume for your specific pool.

Some things that you may want to check if your heater will not ignite is if the heater switch is on, the thermostat setting, is the pump running with a clean filter, is the gas valve on, is the pilot lit, and double check all other valves to be sure they are open. If you are still unable to get your pool heater to ignite then please give us a call so that we can get a technician out to you to check your pool heater thoroughly.

Pool & Spa Filter Repair

The more vital aspect of pool filter repair is locating the source of the problem and finding the correct part to repair it. Keeping your pool filter clean is critical. A dirty filter can cause the pressure gauge to rise and/or the return water flow to the pool to slow down to just a trickle.

  • How do I know what pump is right for my pool?
  • Why is my motor noisy?
  • Why won’t my motor turn on?
  • How long do fillers last?

Pool filters function in an airtight environment. If air gets into your filter it can compromise the filter’s ability to clean your pool properly, if at all. Our technicians are trained to assess and evaluate all of the filter’s connection points to ensure they are airtight.

Pool filter repair also includes the impeller. The impeller works like a fan. Depending on your pools filtration system you will have either filtration fingers or a cartridge. If the filtration system is damaged, it is time to replace the cartridge. Grids and manifolds to your filter can be crushed by high pressure inside the filter. This can be avoided by backwashing your filter system regularly. If you feel for any reason that your pool filter is not running accurately, please give us a call so that our technician can come out and perform a proper evaluation of your filtration system.
